Theo 1 and Theo 2 have been together for 1 year. Theo 1 (the one in front) is well trained and loves to bond and take baths. Theo 2 needs a little more training but personality is open for bonding. We have moved and the new home is not conducive to let them out as much as I would like. They have been free to roam a room and always return to the cage after a bit of exercise. They will come with a nice cage, toys, and any food and treats left. Great birds would love for them to find a loving home that has time to bond with them.

We are looking to re-home our two rescue birds: Brody is about 10 (on the left) and Hannah is about 8 (on the right). They are both in separate cages and were that way from their previous owner. I do not know how they would do together or with other birds, since they have been in separate cages from the time we got them. Despite the love and care we have given them, both birds are still afraid of humans and do not like to be handled and can bite. They need an owner that has experience with handling and taming birds. Brody likes to whistle and copy sounds. Hannah is a bit distant. They are both afraid of most toys and too much stimulation, but have gotten used to a few toys in their cages. The birds are on a pellet diet. Brody dislikes fresh food, and Hannah plays with it. Both birds come with their cages and all supplies. We are looking for someone with experience and love that can help these two beautiful cockatiels feel safe in the world. (Less)

|PIease Read Before Adopting a Bird in Pennsylvania|
Birds can make good pets in Pennsylvania if they match your IifestyIe. Exotic tropical birds such as Parrots and Cockatiels, as well as Finches, Doves, Pigeons, and other varieties, are often kept in captivity as beautiful and interesting pets. Unfortunately, many owners may not know how to care for their birds properly, while others experience life changes that may leave their pets without a suitable home. Captive birds can suffer from nutritional deficiencies, psychological stress, and many other problems when they do not receive proper care. Many wild exotic birds are endangered as a result of the international pet trade. Non-profit bird sanctuaries provide homes for some birds for whom their owners can no longer provide care. However, many more of these birds need to be adopted by committed owners who have taken the time to thoroughly understand what it takes to care for the birds. A person who is ready for the responsibility of owning a bird should seriously consider adopting one rather than buying a new one.
