This is Jerry. He's a red Front Amazon Parrot. He's around 11-12 years old. He doesn't like males, but he loves females. He has a very wide vocabulary- he knows cuss words and talks up a storm! He needs a lot of attention. He comes with his cage, which is 2 feet. He also comes with his toys and food dishes.

Pierre is a beautiful sun conure who loves to sit on your shoulder and nibble your ear. He is fully flighted, but I would clip his wings until he is accustomed to his new house. He has a large cage and a stand. My kids have all moved out of my house, and he seldom gets out of the cage anymore. I would like him to live a more stimulating life. He has had no health problems and will probably live another ten years without complications.

|Rescue Me ID: 16-04-17-00375Duck (female)|
We rescued Blue and Sue last year after Easter from an add on craigslist. They had been kept in a 4'x4' dirt pen and had flies and bees on them. It took well over 6 months before they would even get in the grass or believe it or not the water. They have a retention pond they stay in now. I will only allow them to someone who has the same type living conditions. They have great personalities and love to talk with you when they're near. we feed them daily and the adoption would have to include the same diet. About 6 weeks ago I discovered our subdivision covenants do not allow any animals like this as pets. we hate to see them go as they are just like any other pet except they don't require the upkeep as a normal pet. |PIease Read Before Adopting a Bird in Tennessee|
Birds can make good pets in Tennessee if they match your IifestyIe. Exotic tropical birds such as Parrots and Cockatiels, as well as Finches, Doves, Pigeons, and other varieties, are often kept in captivity as beautiful and interesting pets. Unfortunately, many owners may not know how to care for their birds properly, while others experience life changes that may leave their pets without a suitable home. Captive birds can suffer from nutritional deficiencies, psychological stress, and many other problems when they do not receive proper care. Many wild exotic birds are endangered as a result of the international pet trade. Non-profit bird sanctuaries provide homes for some birds for whom their owners can no longer provide care. However, many more of these birds need to be adopted by committed owners who have taken the time to thoroughly understand what it takes to care for the birds. A person who is ready for the responsibility of owning a bird should seriously consider adopting one rather than buying a new one.
